I received this message with some sad news over the weekend, from Dave Butcher "Hi Ged, I wonder if you can help with this. Ann's Dad ,Ted Burgoyne, who Gren interviewed last year as Nuneaton Old Eds' oldest surviving player, sadly passed away on Friday 3 rd Feb.He was 95. He is on the attached photo, which is probably early 1950s, second from right on back row. Scratch Arnold is also pictured on front row , and I am sure others will be recognised by senior Old Eds! His funeral is at Nuneaton Crem on Monday 27th February followed by a reception at Ambleside Sports Club for anyone interested. Thanks Dave Butcher"

Message from Gren:
"There are still quite a few survivors older than me including possibly three others in that photograph who moved away and that I understood to be alive a few years ago when I talked to Eddie (Ted).
Eddies older brother Tom outranked him being born in 1914 and making the grand old age of 99.
There is quite a list of my seniors that immediately springs to mind. Several who are still local such as Peter Galliford, Don Jacques, Sid Wright, Roy Hayward, Peter Cartwright and so on. All over 85.
I could go on.......
Grenjamin Button"
