Old Eds 12th April last home game Vs Earlsdon - 1pm for 1:30 start: Game is a 3pm kick-off
Hi again,
Here is an updated list of who's going on 12th April. I can add there will be a steel band playing on the viewing platform to add a dizzy Air of Caribbean Carnival to proceedings.
Meet at 1PM, game at 3pm, food will be available and I'll try to get a local landlord to give us a barrel of beer. Although the Eds won't win the league this year they can influence who does as Earlsdon will be looking to secure the champions spot on Weddington's hallowed turf... we'll see.
Thanks to Bob Massey and Clive Ponder at Countrywide Tax & Trust for sponsoring the event. Bob and Clive usually bring along 25 or so of their own guests.
We are looking for a sponsor for the first home game of next season, if you are interested in some publicity let me or John Burdett know,
thanks.
And so to attendance on the day. Word is getting around and there are a few new old faces coming along, I have had confirmation from (67):
David Wilkes (Weasel), Chris Hunter, Pete Harrison, Bob Hare, Dave Thomas, Steve Rhodes, John Burdett, John and Lin Jones, Pete Johnson,
Paul Webb, Roger Warmington, John Sparkes, Chris Foxton, Pete Yeomans, Mark Lingard, Geraint Bowen, Carl Shute, Gren, Nick and Linda Downes, Gary McDermott, Sue Simpson and Family, Beth Cherry, Keith Wing, Bill Ormerod, Simon Hastings, Jez Hastings, Chris Ison, Michelle & Clive Johnson, Paul George +1, Paggie, Val & Bruce Elkin, Dave Scott +1, Les Jackson, Ray Owen, Bill Brindley, Dave Butcher, Trev Howard, Martin Perry, Albie Bauer, Bob and Ria Moore, Billy MacKintosh, Dave Thomas, Wendy King, Quinton Grindley, Marcus Harvey +4, Stuart Moreton,Tony and Sandra Weaver, Ned Denny, Bob and Janet Aspley, Taff Davies and Ged O'Neill +2.
And I would expect these (36) will also be coming along; do let me know guys so I can gauge how much food will be required?:
Peter Hill, Jez Ayres, Keith Stoneystreet, Brent Masser, Nick Arnold, Andy Moffitt, Steve Brown, Dave Elkerton, Dave Charles, Steve Lowe, Bob Smith, Tony Bates, Rammer Bates, Mark Bloxham, Mike Baker, Rene Wilkinson, Martin Robbins, Brian Williams, Pete Banwell, Jon French, Ken McBride, John Frogley, Roger Siers, Geoff Dowell, Cal Ayres, Elkie, Rob Beasley, Steve Harris, Denis Harding, Paul Wilkes and Lynn, Cliff and Sarah, Reg Harris and Jamie Dodd, Jayne Jordan.
A further (27) possibles are invited and will hopefully join us:
