THE usual mix of cry-offs and availability shows again as Eds prepare to take on much-improved Leamington at Weddington on Saturday – weather permitting. Craig Quick comes back at fly-half to add some much-needed stability in the pivotal role, No.8 Paul Rees is back from a winter holiday and Stephen List will feature in the backs. Prop Adam Wilson cried off on Wednesday for an unspecified reason and Matthew Cappell starts in his place at loose head. After an impressive showing from the bench last week in the gales at Old Coventrians, Ryan Singh retains his place on the bench. Leamington’s recent upsurge has seen them move up to fifth in Midlands 2, while Eds languish in seventh spot after losing two games to the Weddington floods.
Old Eds: Matthew Cappell, Tom Simpson, David McAdam, Brandon Carter, Craig Fielding, Stuart Holes, Phil King, Paul Rees, Tom Short, Craig Quick, Daniel Elkerton, Ashley Kalnins, Stephen List, Tay Brown, John Hastings. Replacements: Sam Southall, Ryan Singh and Tom Law.
The kick-off is at 2.15pm.
