Whatever happened to the President's Balls?

Well Ernie, am I right in thinking that the last President who held a ball (and an impressive one at that! ) was Charlie?

The President's Ball will be held next season.

As President next season I am lucky to be supported by a great team of club members who are determine to revive the President's Ball and the President's fixture, and to address the social side of the Club.

President's Ball
Matt Evans has offered to arrange the Ball and is investigating the options which are -
a) Hire a marquee (shared with Weddington Thistle) for a weekend in next May/June
b) Find an external venue (eg Weston Hall) for the event

President's Fixture
This has been set in the Fixture List as Sunday 19th March 2006. The Dog Brothers will be supplying most of the side.

Social Events
We are aiming to have a calendar of events in place for the start of the season.

There is a Club Fun Day and Barbecue this Sunday, 19th June. It will run from 12 'til 6pm. Just bring some meat to throw onto the BBQ.

On the first Saturday of the season, 3rd September, we have a Chinese meal after the match in the early evening.
