Me and Jez Hastings are up there........... However I started long before Jez .... when I was still at Higham Lane School. I've now had over 25 years/seasons with the EDS ... and more to follow ;D

Hi Paul, To see the computerised records from 1989-1990 to 2003-2004 click this link... www.noerfc.co.uk/club/stats/player_stats.php?tfm_order=ASC&tfm_orderby=last_name and then click on the 'Appearances' heading to resort and you will find yourself in good company. Obviously there were a lot of seasons prior to these records and one since but it reflects the modern period and is a starting point. MDP was playing for eight or nine seasons prior to this as were many others. You have set us a bit of a poser here.

Assuming there are no games this Saturday, this season's stats have been finalised and will be on the web in time for the annual dinner.
Would Alan Cadman be a contender for most games? I guess it depends at what age he started.

Great to see that all those in the top ten are still managing to play and down the club on a regular basis. I think you can all call yourself the offical back bone of the eds.

Have just spoken to my dad - Alan Cadman - and clarified that he started playing for the Old Eds when he was 15 and finished at the end of the season after his 57th birthday. That makes it 42 years every Saturday come rain or shine. Surely he must be in the running for appearing the most times. He would have continued playing given the choice !!!

Hi Jackie, Nice to here from you I too would have put your Dad down as being at the top for active duties. I too also joined the EDS at the ripe old age of 15 and as I'm only a mere 42 ............ who knows

Jackie is right about Alan wearing the Ed's shirt the most times (well at least Gren says so!) but she's wrong about him finishing at the end of the season after his 57th birthday. Apparently he played one more time, at the age of 64! Seems he had a bit of a spat with Cynthia and turned up at the club armed with his battered old brown case and took to the field once more!!
